SURF LESSONS PUERTO RICO CANCELLATION POLICY
Exceptions to this policy cannot be made for any reason. We run an extremely high quality, tight margin program, with limited space. If you must cancel your surfing lesson reservation, our policy is as follows:
- Your lessons require to reserve your spot through our booking system.
- If the wave conditions be unfavorable on the day of your lesson, your lesson will be rescheduled. Due to the high season time (long weekends, holidays weeks and spring break time) demand there is a slight chance we may not be able to reschedule.
- For group, individual, and private lessons, all cancellations and rescheduling on your part must be made at least 72 hours before the start time of your lesson. Cancellations and rescheduling made within 72 hours of the lesson will be charged a $25 cancellation/rescheduling fee per participant. If you cancel within 24 hours of scheduled lesson time, you will be charged 50% of lesson cost.
- Participants that fail to show will be charged in full for the lesson, no exceptions.
- All cancellations must be confirmed with Surfing Lessons Puerto Rico staff, no voice mail messages or e-mails will be accepted.
Waiver and release of Liability
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
In consideration for taking surfing lessons from Surfing Lessons Puerto Rico (SLPR) and as a prerequisite, I hereby covenant that I am familiar with the hazards of the ocean and recognize that SLPR cannot control the environment and that the environment can change without warning making participation in surfing hazardous. I realize that certain environmental conditions like the wind, fog, currents (including riptides), waves (including swells, breaking waves, and whitewater), rocks, sand bars, reefs, piers, jetties, breakwaters, sea animals, surfboard, other objects in the water, and others in the water can cause injury to me.
I hereby represent that I know to swim and feel comfortable in the water, or if I am uncomfortable in the water or do not know how to swim I will immediately inform SLPR prior to proceeding with my lesson.
Also, included in the services provided by SLPR is the furnishing of surf equipment (surfboard, leash, etc.). Accordingly, while it will endeavor to provide the appropriate equipment, SLPR does not manufacture the equipment provided and makes no warranty as to the fitness of such equipment for the purpose of surfing.
SLPR emphasizes safety in the lessons and endeavors to keep every pupil as safe as possible. I acknowledge that participation in an activity like surfing involves the risk of injury and can possibly lead to serious and permanent bodily injury, disability or death. I will ensure that, while participating in any surfing activity with SLPR, I will familiarize myself with my surroundings and avoid injury to myself and others.
WHITH THE ABOVE UNDERSTANDING I HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS SURFING LESSONS PUERTO RICO OR ANY OF THE STAFF, OWNERS, OR ANY AFFILIATE ASSOCIATION FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY, NEGLIGENCE, CAUSES OF ACTION, CLAIMS, AND DAMAGES OF EVERY KIND WHICH MAY ARISE OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN ANY ACTIVITIES INVOLVING SURFING LESSONS PUERTO RICO.
